Holidays in Croatia Europe
Croatia is experiencing a new sense of style and purpose with the
emphasis now on high quality, chic hotels and smart, tasteful bars and
restaurants. The coast stretches almost 3600 miles from the Slovenian
border close to Italy in the north to Montenegro in the south and
tourism accounts for over 70% of the country’s GDP. Historically
interesting cities and villages may be found throughout the country but
especially attractive are the walled old town of Dubrovnik, the Roman
sites in Pula and the Emperor Diocletian’s Palace in Split. Beaches are
almost all pebbled however you will still be able to sunbathe and the
waters are clear and warm for swimming. Look out for dance festivals
such as Electric Elephant or the Garden Festival and do make time to
visit the abundant galleries, museums and exhibitions; you will never be
bored in Croatia!
