Ljubljana Things to Do

Water City of AtlantisLjubljana is home to an exceptional water park. Here you can unwind and relax with a selection of 14 pools, thermal baths, saunas and water slides. The Water City of Atlantis is easily accessible by public transport and is fun for the whole family; it has a special section just for children. Flea MarketThere is a long running flea market in Ljubljana open between 8am and 2pm on Sundays. A nice way to spend a lazy Sunday as you explore what the stalls have for sale. From rusty military memorabilia to Slovenian souvenirs, you get a nice taste of Ljubljana as you wander from stall to stall. Around the CitySmarna Gora sits at 662m in elevation and is on the northern outskirts of the city. Depending on your fitness level, the climb generally takes between 30-60 minutes and you are rewarded with a spectacular view of Ljubljana. You can take public transport directly to the base of the hill. Krim Mountain is another great daytrip; the mountain is 1107m high and used to be used as a military station. You can brave the 2-3 hour hike to the top, or it is also accessible by car. Many have outdoor seating in summer and you can find a range of different menus to suit any craving. From the Sava River to the Kamnik Alps, the castle is a true taste of local Slovenian history.
